Food Access in Manchester and More
Drop by the Cupboard
Wednesdays 2-6. Thursdays 10-12, and 2-4, Fridays 9-11
CFC is located in Manchester Town Hall. 40 Jeff Williams Way. We offer groceries including fresh produce and prepared food as well as a variety of personal care products, donated clothing, books, and household items. Please bring bags or boxes with you, we never have enough.
The Cupboard is very busy so please understand that there may be a wait and please be kind to our volunteers. They are here to help and ask nothing in return. Anyone who does not follow instructions or makes others feel threatened or unsafe while they are at CFC will be asked not to return.
Residents of Manchester, Dorset, Danby, Rupert, Pawlet, Wells, Middletown Springs, Tinmouth, Mount Tabor, Landgrove, Peru, Winhall, Stratton Jamaica, and Londonderry are welcome to visit the pantry weekly. If you live in VErmont, but outside the area listed above, you are welcome to visit CFC once per month. While you are here, we can help you locate a food pantry that’s closer to where you live. If you work in Manchester or Dorset, or have other circumstances that make it difficult for you to access the food shelf nearest to you, let us know. We are happy to make exceptions.
You don’t need to show ID. The first time you come we will ask some simple questions about you and any other members of your household. We will not share this information with anyone. Everyone who makes their home in Vermont is welcome. If you live in a town outside of the service area listed above, there may be limitations on how often you can come, but we are happy to help you find similar programs closer to home.
The Cupboard is very busy so please understand that there may be a wait and please be kind to our volunteers!
The Emergency Food Assistance Program
TEFAP is a federal program that provides food assistance at no cost to low-income people. Through TEFAP, the USDA purchases a variety of nutritious, high quality foods and makes them available to local organizations like CFC. Each month, CFC receives a variety of USDA food and makes it available to anyone who is eligible.
